I'm a little behind in most of these, mostly because they are shown later in the UK.

So I've only just started watching Person of Interest (first episode was very good), and have only recently finished Grimm season 1. (Also watching Castle, Falling Skies and Twin Peaks... I need more time!)

As for Dexter, I think I've watched up to season 5? To be honest, I feel like it's a little hit-and-miss. I do enjoy it, but feel like it's gone on a little too long. Nothing will quite match the brilliance of the first season, although Trinity was pretty close.

There are various others I'm waiting for too, but I guess since this is titled "part 1", they'll be in the other ones! (Specifically stuff like Alphas, True Blood etc.)

The same week as the Florida "balt salts" attack (where there no bath salts in his system in the end), I saw a few more Zombie-type articles of cannibalism. And then there was also the case of a man stabbing himself who then threw his intestines at the police.

My particular zombie survival scenario is simple. Locking yourself in any bunker is a very short-term solution. The Mask of Red Death by Edgar Allen Poe teaches us that locking ourselves inside to escape death is in fact locking ourselves in with death. You need food, supplies, etc. And no bunker is perfect. What you really need is a mobile bunker that can move away from zombies and to fresh supplies.

The armored-up-van/bus/track/RV idea is the way to go.

I can't believe I forgot to include Goyer.

If nothing else, I think Goyer should get a shot at pitching his ideas for the DC movies leading into and including Justice League. He came up with the stories for the Batman trilogy as well as the upcoming Superman reboot. But I don't know about his directing Justice League.

If anyone is interested, the directors working with Warner Brothers that I didn't go with:

Martin Campbell - his Green Lantern didn't go over well
Clint Eastwood - great director, but slow pacing and not sure he'd do a superhero film
McG - Hell no
James McTeigue - Uneven director
Guy Ritchie - Sherlock Holmes did well, but that was after he cribbed Aronofsky's visual style
Zack Snyder - Doing Superman. If Warner Brothers wanted him, they'd have offered it to him.
Wachowski brothers - It has been suggested before and they're big comic book fans. But again, I think there is a reason Warner Brothers haven't offered it to them.
David Yates - Overrated director with no respect for source material. The last few Harry Potter films were great movies because the cast had great chemistry, but they were very poor adaptations.

I don't watch reality shows (or really TV for the most part). In watching some clips on YouTube I was somewhat mortified. As a parent, I'm not a fan of toddlers in beauty pageants, let alone giving toddlers caffeine and energy drinks to get them to act up.

I feel like the daughter might be exploited, though I'm not sure if I can say the same for the rest of the family, or at least the adults. They're old enough to opt to do television or not. And since they do the pageant circuit, they must want to showcase who they are shamelessly.

No doubt people will watch this show and ridicule the family. They'll be judged, and hated by some. But the people watching are also validating and financially supporting the family by tuning in.

Hopefully it won't however reflect on all American families (or all families in the South). I doubt the cast of Jersey Shore represent everyone in that state.

Biometric security is probably the best option on the table. For someone who lost their hands, or burned their hands and don't have finger prints, they could use a prosthetic. So long as it was unique and only they used it, it would serve the same purpose.

I do want to write a piece for the site on DRM at a later date.
